The KSA Legacy Fund

In 2006, KSA contributed $25,000 to The Kitchener and Waterloo Community Foundation (The KWCF) to open the Kitchener Sports Association (KSA) Legacy Fund.  Since that date, KSA has made additional contributions to the KSA Legacy Fund and has seen the Fund balance grow from $69,122 as of Dec. 31, 2010 to well over $100,000 (as of June 30, 2018).

KSA established its legacy fund as a means to ensure the KSA has the financial capability to provide ongoing financial support to the local minor sport groups and special KSA projects well into the future.

Donations to this fund by the general public are welcome and are tax deductible through receipts issued by The KWCF.  As of December 31, 2010, The KWCF had over $ 50 million in assets and had issued grants of over $25 million since its inception in 1984.

or, check The KWCF websitehttp://WWW.KWCF.CA

The Kitchener Sports Association appreciates any and all support.  As a registered non-profit organization, rather than an actual charity as The KWCF is, the KSA is unable to give receipts acceptable to the tax department as charitable donations. Receipts issued by KSA may, possibly, be eligible for use as business expenses. Tax advice is advised.

For donations made through The KWCF on behalf of the KSA, please indicate to The KWCF that you wish your donation directed to the KSA Legacy Fund and an appropriate charitable receipt will be issued. Donations can also be made to KSA through the City of Kitchener. Again, please designate that the donation is to go to KSA and the City can issue a charitable receipt.
