Andy and his father were guests at the KSA dinner held March 15, 2011. Andy talked about the tournament and some of the highlights of his trip which KSA helped finance with a travel grant.
Organizations applying for KSA funding must:
1. Provide a letter of authorization, on the organization's letterhead, signed by the President or designate, confirming the organization's authority to apply for funding.
2. Publicize, through their own efforts and within their organization, the approval of funding from KSA. KSA has the right, as well, to publicize to the community-at-large, the approval of the grant.
Application for Funding:
The following information is required for an application to be considered, noting that application must be on the organization's letterhead and signed by the President.
Organization - Full legal name, address, phone, fax, e-mail etc.
President's Name, address, phone, e-mail, etc.
Treasurer's Name, address, phone, e-mail, etc.
Project: A description of the project for which funding is requested, including anticipated number of participants, with specific reference to the number of youth participants who are residents of the City of Kitchener and neighbouring communities.
Budget - a detailed budget for the project, including anticipated revenues and their sources, and planned expenditures.
Request from KSA - specific reference to the amount of funding requested from KSA.
Financial statement - a copy of the organization's financial statements for the most recent year-ended period. (Clarification: For a travel grant, the required financials are those pertaining to that specific event and need to include all sources of revenue as well as the expenses.)
Copies/delivery of application - Initial submission can be made by Email and will suffice, at least for initial consideration. Applicants will be notified if hard copies of any documants are required.

IF you want to use Canada Post, or drop something off, please use the following address unless a specific program specifies otherwise. Note that this will not be nearly as expedient --- please advise by email if dropping off any documents or applications. (Scholarship applications are only processed through the address specified in that program's application procedure; there are no exceptions to the specified address for scholarship applications.)
