Guest Speaker: Christian Hauck
After a brief summary outlining some of Christian's accomplishments todate, Dave Hallman (Director of the Kitchener Junior Panthers) turned the podium over to Christian Hauck. Christian talked about his experience as a student-athlete, winning an OUA championship (after losing in the finals the year before), competing at a U21 Nationals, being named WLU's Athlete of the Week, etc. His main focus was on the challenges he faced at the various stages of the experience: moving away from home for school, meeting new teammates, balancing school and sports, and ... some advice for our scholarship recipients. For them, Christian has already been there!  Video of Christian's presentation (519 Sports)

Congratulations to this year's recipients --- well done! Thanks also to all those participated in the proceedings, the other candidates, and those who took the time to contribute references; so many high calibre student athletes in this area! We wish everyone well and are glad to be able to help make the at least some of the area's top student-athletes as they start the next phase of their academic career. Take Christian's lead and balance your sports and academics!

Special thanks to Darren Stevenson, 519 Sports, for not only covering this event and providing the video and his own photos, but for his interest in KSA and local athletes. He also interviewed several of the recipients and has those posted on YouTube as well.
