KSA's 27th annual Volunteer Recognition Dinner

This year, 28 local minor sports group took advantage of the opportunity to have one of their "key" volunteers publicly recognized. Each award recipient was treated to dinner, received a commemorative plaque and gathered memories to last a lifetime!

KSA Fee-assistance cheques -
The proceedings also featured cheque presentations to Kitchener Minor Baseball, KW Boys Softball, Stanley Park Optimist Ball, Sports for Special Athletes, the Waterloo Regional Boxing Academy and Pride Stables in support of their fee-assistance programs. We're collaborating with local sports groups to ensure everyone gets to play!

Don Cameron -
Don Cameron was not only the MC for this special evening, but also the evening's featured guest. Don shared some personal highlights of his broadcasting career as the "Voice of the Kitchener Rangers." At the conclusion of the evening, Kitchener Mayor Berry Vrbanovic honoured Don with a recognition plaque from the City of Kitchener on behalf of Council and the citizens of Kitchener.

Dates, rates and details on these dinners are subject to change depending on the Rangers schedule for the 2015/16 season.  (The Rangers have a home game on the Tuesday in January when we'd usually meet so note the Wednesday date.) More information on our February, March, April (Scholarships) and May (Athlete of the Year) dinners will follow when details are finalized.  
You're invited to join us and network with other local sports enthusiasts. Just let Adele Couchman know so she can arrange dinner for you!  (Dinner cost is $25/person, $10 for those aged 12 & under)

Reminder: We do not have dinner meetings in December, June, July and August.
